In late November, Lascar Electronics attended the SPS IPC Drives and Automation Show in Nuremberg, Germany. This is a major show for the industrial automation industry, with a focus on robotics and machine control. As might be expected, a hot topic of the show was Industry 4.0, which applies data and internet technologies to optimize communication between humans and machines and create smart factories with improved efficiency and productivity. Lascar attended the show in conjunction with its German distribution partner RS Components and bought its PanelPilotACE development kits to demo, the SGD-43A DK+ and SGD 70-A DK+. With its ability to both display information and control hardware, PanelPilotACE is a competitively priced HMI for process control, automation and condition monitoring, and received an enthusiastic response at the show. These abilities, combined with its data logging capability, mean PanelPilotACE is also well suited to energy monitoring and management applications, which can offer companies both financial and environmental benefits.
Also demonstrated at the show was our new SGD-21B display, which will be launched fully next year.
